- Access at bridge in Malden Bridge

- Route 23 at Red Mills – access off south side of Bridge only (not north side with the falls)

Year-round fishing with sport fish such as chain pickerel; largemouth small mouth and rock bass; bluegill; pumpkinseed sunfish; yellow perch; brown bullhead; the occasional cisco in deeper waters.
The American eel and golden shiner are also found at Lake Taghkanic.
